Gene Windfeldt, the founder of Preferred Credit, Inc. (PCI), started the company in 1982 to provide financing to one of the largest in-home consumer sales distributorships in the world.
Before starting PCI, Windfeldt was a part of the industry. He started his career in 1965, selling merchandise door to door. Later on, he became the president and CEO of the Kirby Company.
Having started PCI for in-home consumer financing, the company has been dedicated to serving the needs of the industry since the beginning.
Built by a direct-seller for direct sellers, we know the direct sales business better than anyone else. Now led by founder Gene Windfeldt’s sons, Greg and Steve, PCI remains a stable, family-owned business and has an unwavering passion for service, trust, and growth.
